YouTube user @Malama_Ki posted this comment on No Fightin’s video “The Red Devils Time To Cry on MTV.” We thought it was worth sharing the story here:
Imagine this: I just got done surfing 2nd bay Pohoiki Hawaii; I take a soak in the natural hot pond in the jungle behind 1rst bay and meet a smokin’ German chick with her friend. We walk out to the parking lot to grab her digits and Going to the Church comes on our local blues hour on the radio. I was blown away on that ride home up the mango tree tunnel. That turned into dinner, a great night, and a great weekend. Pohoiki is now buried under black sand from the 2018 lava event, she was just a passing bit of fun, but I have the song and the memories forever.
