If you have a ticket to the Lucerne Blues Festival in Switzerland next month, you are in for a treat.
Among several excellent blues and soul acts will be “The Return of The Return of The Funky Worm,” a reunion of the band from the Johnny Moeller/Paul Size record from the Dallas Blues Society.
The Lucerne Blues Festival gig will be in celebration of the 30th anniversary of “Funky Worm,” which was released in 1996.
Johnny Moeller told NoFightin.com that “we are going to pretty much play the whole record!”
Onstage will be the dynamite twin guitars of Moeller and Size, of course, along with Funky Worm veterans Jay Moeller (drums), Rhett Frazier (vocals) and Bret Coats (bass).
At this point, the band’s festival appearance on Nov. 13, 2026, is the only “Funky Worm” date scheduled, making Lucerne a can’t-miss event.
