Lester Butler Tribute Site joins NoFightin.com

Welcome to the original Lester Butler Tribute Site, now on NoFightin.com.

The Tribute Site’s creator, Jasper Heikens, has allowed NoFightin.com to bring the site back online, a couple of decades after he started it.

We think this change will be a massive positive for Red Devils and Lester Butler fans – everything you could hope to know all in one place.

When we launched NoFightin.com, we purposely focused on the larger story around The Red Devils, that “roots, rock and blues” scene that both fueled the band and burned wild around them.

Adding this Lester Butler content will fill in some of the gaps.

There is some overlap between Jasper’s site and NoFightin.com: Both sites benefit from drummer Eddie Clark’s collection of photographs, videos and fliers. We feature similar discographies and articles.

There is no need to duplicate, now that everything is under the one https://nofightin.com/ URL. So we will focus instead on publishing some of the rare and unique content that Jasper collected before anyone else thought to, and present it with the context and history that NoFightin.com is known for.

We start with a great series of old photos from John and Irene Williamson, new to NoFightin.com and back online for the first time in years. Then there is Jasper’s coverage of one of the earliest tribute events, at the Moulin Blues Festival in Ospel in 2001. Finally, the “Did you know … ?” section offers quick bites of info and trivia, collected by Jasper from around the web.

As we go forward, we will keep adding great features from the Lester Butler Tribute Site.

And as Jasper himself said, the photos belong to the original owners, so please do not steal them! And, if you can find it in your heart (and your wallet), please consider tipping us; there is a lot of cost to running a site like this, so any little bit helps us keep going every month!
