Welcome to the William Clarke page on NoFightin.com, the home for the archives of Eddie Clark, longtime drummer for William Clarke and Lester Butler.
William Clarke (1951-1996) was a powerful West Coast blues harmonica player, and a leading practioner of the chromatic harmonica. Throughout the 1970s through the mid-1990s, Clarke’s musical story ran parallel with James Harman, Hollywood Fats, The Blasters and other California acts. Clarke band alumni Alex Schultz and Eddie Clark both played in 13.
Drummer Eddie Clark shared these pictures, documents, fliers and other miscellaneous pieces with NoFightin.com, and we will occasionally upload more content from Clark’s collection. The collection also includes rare or unseen images of many other musicians, including Mick Fleetwood, Charlie Musselwhite, Rod Piazza, Smokey Wilson, Debbie Davies and more.
Click on a gallery below to see photos and other memorabilia. NoFightin.com will continue to upload higher-quality photos as available, and we will attempt to better identify dates, locations and performers as time allows.
